“Try not. Do or do not. There is no try.” — Yoda, The Empire Strikes Back

In physics, particles like electrons exist in multiple states until they interact with the external world, the so called wave function collapse. So, Schrodinger’s cat is dead and alive until you open the door to reveal the truth. In the modern world, it’s easy to find yourself overwhelmed with possibilities. So, you delay and exist in multiple states: the version of you that completed the task, the version of you that had the task removed from her to do list. Although we delay, reality will collapse on us all the same.

To defeat procrastination you have to internalize your locus of control rather than allowing external forces to sway you. Do or do not.
